Who is Krampus?

Krampus comes from Alpine Christmas folklore, especially Austria and Germany. Traditionally, while St. Nicholas rewards well-behaved children, his horned, shaggy counterpart brings a mischievous twist to the season. Krampus celebrations today often feature costumes, bells, parades, and plenty of holiday humor.

We're bringing that playful tradition to the Grand Strand with decorated golf carts, evil-reindeer outfits, local bar stops, and a suggested toy donation to support Toys for Tots. Think Christmas meets Halloween—with a community-minded purpose.

For our local bar partners

Why welcome the Krampus crew?

We're planning a festive, organized golf cart run that visits neighborhood bars, encourages food and beverage purchases, and gives local businesses a fun reason to be part of a charitable holiday tradition.

Bring in customers

A coordinated group of costumed participants can create incremental daytime food and beverage sales.

Free photo-worthy publicity

Decorated carts, costumes, and group photos give guests and venues shareable holiday content.

Support local giving

Help encourage new, unwrapped toy donations for Toys for Tots—without a required sponsorship fee.

Minimal lift

Organizers coordinate registration, the proposed route, costumes, and promotion. Venues retain their normal operating policies.

Stand out in December

A Krampus parade is a memorable alternative to a typical Santa pub crawl.

Build a tradition

With local participation, this could become a recurring seasonal attraction.

What we're asking of bar owners

Please consider welcoming the group during your proposed one-hour stop, confirming capacity and golf-cart parking, and sharing the event. A themed drink, food special, or photo spot is welcome but entirely optional. No sponsorship fee or financial commitment is requested.

Stops and times are proposed until confirmed by each establishment. Participants should use designated sober drivers, follow applicable golf-cart laws and approved routes, and respect each venue's service and capacity policies.
